MISSION STATEMENT
As a publication for the students by the students, The Sentinel Sound strives to inform, advocate for and entertain the student body and local community of Steilacoom High School. We do this by promoting awareness of current issues, providing a space for student expression and representing the student body through bringing positive change. The Sentinel Sound staff members adhere to the protected speech regulations of the First Amendment and its subsequent journalistic standards and promise to uphold them to the best of our abilities. Sentinel Sound Staff members make all content and editorial decisions.
EDITORIAL POLICY
The Sentinel Sound opinion section reflects the views of The Sentinel Sound student staff and not necessarily the sentiments of the faculty, staff or administration of the high school or district.
The Sentinel Sound encourages student and community involvement and therefore welcomes letters to the editor. Limit letters to 300 words or less. We accept ads that adhere to the Steilacoom Historical School District Policies. We reserve the right to refuse any ads that are sexist, racist, discriminatory or not legal to minors.
