June/State Brief

The Steilacoom Girls Tennis team had three girls make it to State this year. Doubles, Rebecca Pyun and Skye Butac, placed second at Leagues and fourth at Districts to secure a spot at State. Cristina Masiringi-Zavala placed fourth at Leagues and sixth at Districts and also qualified for State. Tennis State championships were held at Nordstrom Tennis Center this past weekend. None of the girls placed, however, for the seniors it was a great experience for them to play at State for the first time in their final year of tennis.
