Due to a national security threat, the House of Representatives passed a bill on March 13, that would force the company that owns TikTok to either sell it to a non-Chinese owner or be banned in the U.S. President Biden has already stated that he will sign the bill if it comes to him, but the Senate must pass the bill first. According to a survey taken by Steilacoom students, over 65% have TikTok installed and a few said they use TikTok up to 8 hours a day. If TikTok gets banned, it will have an impact on many.
