Steilacoom High School’s Chapter of FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) competed at the State Leadership Conference in Spokane, Wash. on March 5-8. Junior Sidney Klunk competed in Culinary and placed bronze. Senior Nora Agosto-Sungino competed in Professional Presentation and placed silver. Junior Lia Tinay competed in Baking & Pastry, and placed gold and in first. Junior Eva Clapp competed in Food Innovations and placed silver and in second. Senior Serina Su competed in Leadership and placed gold and in first, and Senior Issy Pancho competed in Interpersonal Communications, placing gold and in first. Tinay, Clapp, Su, and Pancho all qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference this summer, where they will compete against FCCLA chapters from all over the nation and Puerto Rico. The national conference will be held in Seattle, Washington from June 29 through July 3.
