The month of May is a time to reflect on and celebrate the role Asian American and Pacific Islanders have played and shared in our society. In 1977, New York representative Frank Horton introduced House Joint Resolution 540, which proposed proclaiming the first 10 days of May as Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage week. This was then expanded to include the entirety of the month by Congress in 1990, annually designating May as Asian American and Pacific Islander month in 1992 under George H. W. Bush, with the passing of public law 102-450.

(He/Him) Hey [Freddie] Freakers, I’m Leo. I’ve been in the sentinel sound for two years, and I mostly write movie reviews about the latest horror releases. I also try to talk about disability awareness as an ambulatory wheelchair user with hEDS. I’m trying to gain my ability to draw back, and I love Kirby.
